Robin & John Productions
Filmmaker Robin Chin and cartoonist/illustrator John Grimes live and work near San Francisco's Ocean Beach. Their project, Fizzdom, is a collection of graphics, videos and animation mashed up with wry humor to become satire. It’s political, cultural and personal.
For the 2004 elections, they teamed up with Louise Rubacky and a crew of filmmaker activists to make an award-winning doc, "There's Something About W". Aimed at mainstream voters and peppered with humor, this 40-minute overview of Bush’s astonishing first term features Molly Ivins, Bill Maher, Paul Krugman, Al Franken, Michale Moore and others. Peter Coyote narrated.
For the 2008 cycle, Robin and John are focusing on the Web, cooking Fizzdom into an amusing brew of video, animation and graphic features.
